Pre-school Program

The PreK-3 and PreK-4 school day follows a curriculum including Catholic Religion, playtime, classroom instruction time, snack for preschoolers, lunch for full day students and various extracurricular activities. The activities provide a balance of fine and gross motor skills through hands-on learning and outdoor play. The children will be exposed to blocks, art, library, manipulatives, math, science discovery, poetry, music, sign language, and Latin. They will develop reading readiness skills, which will focus on letter recognition and sounds as well as listening skills. We will foster a love of reading by reading to them throughout the day. Students in our full day Pre-school program will have nap time each day.

Supporting Programs

WEEKLY MASS

  • Staff and students will attend 8:10 a.m. Mass every Friday. Parents/ guardians and other family members are welcome to join us.
PLAYGROUND
  • Playground time is an important part of the curriculum. Children are encouraged to run, jump, and other various activities to develop large motor skills. It is very important to build gross motor skills at this stage of a child’s development.
ENRICHMENT PROGRAM
  • The Enrichment Program is designed to expose students to a wide variety of activities. The program will feature invited guests that share skills and talents with our students. Topics will often correlate with our themes. Examples are music, storytelling, gardening, and sewing. Development of academic skills (math, language arts, science, social studies, and P.E.) will continue to be explored through enrichment and daily activities. Parents and parish volunteers are needed for this program. Please contact the office if you or someone you know has a skill or talent to share. The enrichment program will expose students to new experiences as well as new people.
