The PreK-3 and PreK-4 school day follows a curriculum including Catholic Religion, playtime, classroom instruction time, snack for preschoolers, lunch for full day students and various extracurricular activities. The activities provide a balance of fine and gross motor skills through hands-on learning and outdoor play. The children will be exposed to blocks, art, library, manipulatives, math, science discovery, poetry, music, sign language, and Latin. They will develop reading readiness skills, which will focus on letter recognition and sounds as well as listening skills. We will foster a love of reading by reading to them throughout the day. Students in our full day Pre-school program will have nap time each day.
The Kindergarten Program is based on a Catholic Curriculum in preparation for elementary school and will focus on and exceed the benchmarks set forth by the state of Mississippi with a heavy emphasis on reading readiness. The children will continue to develop academic skills in math, language arts, science, social studies, and P.E. incorporating Catholic values throughout the curriculum. Kindergarten students will have a nap time each day.
